Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Receives Orders
Totaling $24.9 Million to Support Existing BFT Satellite
Channels and Other Support Services
MELVILLE, N.Y., Sep 8, 2010 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX
News Network) -- Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (Nasdaq:CMTL)
announced today that its Maryland-based subsidiary,
Comtech Mobile Datacom Corporation, received orders
totaling $24.9 million under its existing $384.0 million
BFT contract with the U.S. Army Communications Electronics
Command.
The orders are in support of the Force XXI Battle
Command Brigade and Below -- Blue Force Tracking (FBCB2-BFT)
program, a U.S. Army battle command real-time situational
awareness and control system and ensures Comtech's
continued support of all existing deployed BFT satellite
channels for a six-month period ending in March 2011,
as well as providing test channel services and supporting
the command's BRAC related move from Ft. Monmouth,
NJ to its new headquarters at the Aberdeen Proving
Grounds military base located in Maryland.
