Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Receives $11.5 Million of Orders
for the Army National Guard's Acquisition of Movement Tracking
System Equipment and Technical Support Services
Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (NASDAQ:CMTL) announced today
that its Maryland-based subsidiary, Comtech Mobile Datacom Corporation,
received orders totaling $11.5 million under its Movement Tracking
System, or MTS contract, with the U.S. Army. The orders are for
the Army National Guard's acquisition of MTS installation kits
and technical support services. Total orders received to date
against the $463.2 million U.S. Army logistics contract, including
these National Guard orders, increased to $416.2 million.
The $11.5 million in orders are primarily for the supply of installation
kits and technical support services to continue the deployment
of MTS equipment throughout the Army National Guard, and are funded
and issued pursuant to the supplemental Army National Guard and
Army Reserve Equipment Plan. To date, orders to Comtech from this
supplement total $68.3 million.
