MELVILLE, N.Y., April 4, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (Nasdaq:CMTL) announced today that its Maryland-based subsidiary, Comtech Mobile Datacom Corporation, received orders totaling $51.7 million under its Blue Force Tracking, or BFT-1, contract with the U.S. Army.
The multiple orders provide for satellite bandwidth, satellite network operations, engineering services, program management, support and mobile satellite transceivers for the Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below — Blue Force Tracking (FBCB2-BFT) program and extend the supply of satellite bandwidth, and related professional support services, through March 2012. Total orders received to-date under the $384.0 million BFT-1 contract are $339.3 million.
