Leveraging advanced signal processing techniques, Comtech has developed Adaptive Multiuser Detection (AMD), a patent-pending technology that:

• Eliminates the common signal/noise problems that
  challenged earlier systems

• Expands the mobile satellite uplink’s capacity Provides
  higher processing speeds, up to 20x return link capacity improvement

• Reduces latency to about 1 second

• Quality of service improvements with decreased packet loss, increased position reporting, and improved message complete rates

Additionally, BFT-HC is backwards compatible for easy migration to the new transceiver platform without deploying new earth station equipment, and without touching individual mobile units.
