OVERVIEW
Comtech Mobile Datacom Corporation's
AVX-06 is designed for mobile tracking and messaging
applications on fixed and rotary wing aircraft.
The AVX-06 includes CMDC's newest and smallest
member of its L-Band transceiver product line,
the MTM-203 and joins the MT2011 which is currently
fielded with the U.S. Army's Force XXI Battle
Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2) Blue Force
Tracking (BFT) program. CMDC's L-band transceivers
play a key role in BFT's ability to provide global,
near real-time situational awareness and C2 to/from
air and ground platforms. CMDC's AVX-06 can also
be modified to work in commercial aviation markets.
The U.S. Army credits the BFT system with saving
many lives and significantly reducing the "fog of
war". CMDC is proud to have been selected by the
U.S. Army leadership to provide this unique communications
capability to our warfighters. |

BENEFITS
- Situational Awareness sharing
- Air-ground
coordination
- On-the-Move, Over-the-Horizon
communications
- Secure instant messaging
- Continuous
mission updates
- Speeds decision-making
- Fratricide
avoidance
- Netcentric operations enabler
- Interoperability
with ground and other aviation platforms provides
an over-the-horizon, on-the-move integrated air/ground
situational awareness picture unavailable with
any other system today.
- Operates over multiple
L-band satellites worldwide, as part of a fully
encrypted, packet-data network. Techniques such
as spread-spectrum modulation and short burst
transmissions help to provide security and low
probability of intercept/detect characteristics
to ensure the safety and security of the warfighter.
