MTM-203

MTM-203 US Patent # 7,667,643

Product Description
This miniaturized mobile satellite transceiver incorporates the key features of our MT-2011. It also incorporates state-of-the-art technology created for users where both restrictions in size and weight are critical. In 2008, we received a Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 140-2 validation certification from the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) for the MTM-203 Miniature Satellite Transceiver Module. The MTM-203 is used on our MT-2011G product.

Product Overview
The MTM-203 combines compact design and unique functionality to provide integrators with a robust device that can easily be incorporated into other electronic devices including handheld computers, portable battery powered equipment such as laptop and tablet computers plus barcode readers and covert devices. The transceiver's primary function is to allow users and enable applications to send and receive messages via satellite. Additionally, by using the internal GPS receiver, the MTM-203 provides location information on each message and also transmits location information automatically. The MTM-203 is a fundamental system component that soldiers and first responders rely upon when every second does matter and will count!

Product FEATURES Product BENEFITS
> Pocket size dimensions, 0.3 lbs transceiver can easily be integrated into a device
> Includes a single serial interface at TTL levels
> Contains internal GPS device with the capability to connect to an external GPS device
> Ensures GPS receiver can receive RHCP signal, regardless of communication channel polarization
> Allows for dual polarization antenna use
> Provides overload protection on the receive channel to prevent LNA burn-out for large signals
> Allows for FPGA code loading so that new waveforms can be uploaded after the transceiver is deployed
> Current data rates
...+ Space Segment
2.6 Kbps, 5.2 Kbps, 10.5 Kbps, 21 Kbps (higher data rates in the future) Refer to as 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x
...+ Physical Serial Interface
  9600 bps, 19200 bps, 57600 bps, 115200 bps
> 3-DES encryption available (AES encryption in the future)
> ETSI, FCC certifications, FIPS 140-2 Validation Certification
> Low Probability of Interference (LPI), Low Probability of Detection (LPD) communications
> Encrypted 2-way burst data transmission (messaging and position)
> Advanced forward error correction (FEC) for burst data
> Position accuracy to 2.5 m CEP (Circular Error Probability)
> 16 channel GPS position - one update per second
> Secure, near real-time over-the-horizon, on-the-move communications capability
> AUX power, 4 I/O lines and IGN sense
> Operates globally using Geostationary L-Band satellites that provide a secure communication transport and also penetrate dust, cloud cover, foliage and rain
> Miniature, lightweight design
> Low power consumption mode for efficient battery use
>

Allows dismounted user to maintain situational awareness (SA) and messaging connectivity worldwide with other mobile and terrestrial connected users

The FIPS 140-2 Logo is Certification Mark of NIST, which does not imply product endorsement by NIST, the U.S. or the Canadian Governments.
